Build Healthier, More Fulfilling Lives

Personalized, Compassionate Care Focused on Your Well-Being

My practice is in a centuries old building in the French Quarter of the historic area of Charleston, South Carolina. As a clinical psychologist with decades of experience, my expertise is in helping people with life’s stressors. These stressors can go by the clinical names of anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship impairment, or disability, to name a few. These are fairly common experiences for most of us. My intention is to help people develop more fulfilling lives with better relationships, good self-care and an enriched sense of well-being. Another way I help people is as a psychological examiner and neuropsychologist, evaluating individuals for their stressors, or who may have a neurocognitive disorder. Please read on to learn more about the help that I offer.

I have two practices, one in Charleston, SC and the other in Atlanta, Georgia. I help people in two ways. First, I have been a practicing psychologist for over 30 years and work with individuals, couples and groups. As a psychologist, this work focuses on helping people develop more fulfilling lives with better relationships, good self-care and an enriched sense of well-being. The second way I help people is as a neuropsychologist, evaluating and treating individuals with neurocognitive disorders. Visit this page to see some of my previous work with environmental disease treatment centers which dealt with mold and mycotoxins specifically.

Everyone in my practice is treated with the utmost respect and nonjudgmental regard for their individual traits. I strive to meet all clients with integrity, experience, skill, trust, empathy and authenticity. The links above will give more detailed descriptions of my specialty areas in psychology. Please feel free to read more about me on my bio page. You can also view my Psychology Today Profile and LinkedIn page.

Neuropsychology

Neuropsychology focuses on understanding how the brain influences thinking, behavior, and emotional functioning. Through comprehensive, standardized evaluations, I assess key cognitive abilities such as memory, attention, language, reasoning, and problem-solving, while also considering medical, psychological, and social factors that impact overall functioning. With over 30 years of experience, my goal is not only to identify areas of concern but to provide clear, meaningful recommendations that lead to improved outcomes. By collaborating with physicians and other professionals when needed, I work to ensure each evaluation results in practical insights and a path forward for individuals facing neurological, medical, or psychological challenges.
